Steve Nash
Steve Nash is a former professional basketball player and current coach. He was born on February 7, 1974, in Johannesburg, South Africa, but grew up in Canada. Nash played in the NBA for 18 seasons, primarily with the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks. He was known for his exceptional ball-handling skills, court vision, and ability to distribute the ball effectively as a point guard.
Nash was a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2005 and 2006, becoming one of the few guards to win the award multiple times. He was also an eight-time NBA All-Star and ranks third in career assists in NBA history.
After retiring as a player, Nash pursued a career in coaching. He served as a player development consultant for the Golden State Warriors before being named the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets in 2020. As a coach, Nash brings his wealth of experience and basketball IQ to lead his team on the sidelines.
